Then the new energy must meet two conditions. The energy density of the new energy is higher than the existing energy density, and it can replace the existing energy. The second is environmentally friendly. Hydrogen energy has such a characteristic, so from the energy point of view, it is fully characterized by the next generation of new energy. Therefore, the construction of a hydrogen energy society has become a consensus in the international community.
 
In the past, we talked about the hydrogen energy society. We feel that we are far away from us. In fact, the hydrogen energy society is very close to us, even in front of us. The timetable for the exit of fuel vehicles in various countries has been announced. At the latest in 2040, the UK will withdraw from fuel vehicles, and some other countries will withdraw earlier. In this sense, what is the next generation of cars? Major auto companies have launched the next generation of the main models, which are fuel cells and hydrogen-powered vehicles. Last year, Premier Li Keqiang also went to see such a car. The main core technology of hydrogen vehicles is hydrogen fuel cells. So where is hydrogen? The teachers who work in engineering know that hydrogen is difficult to store because it has the smallest molecules and hydrogen embrittlement problems. Now that carbon fiber bottles have completely solved the problem of hydrogen embrittlement, its safety is now beyond doubt. At present, our country pays enough attention to hydrogen energy and hydrogen fuel cells. Before the Spring Festival in 2018, the state established the Innovation Alliance for Hydrogen and Hydrogen Fuel Cell Industry. I am fortunate to be a member of the Strategic Steering Committee. Hydrogen energy as a national emerging strategic industry should occupy a very important position in the next “14th Five-Year Plan”, so I hope that our school should pay enough attention.
